Bridget Murphy, Senior Vice President and Managing Director

For over twenty years, Bridget Murphy has dedicated her career to working with a wide range of non-profit organizations, helping them achieve their capital campaign and development goals. Ms. Murphy also has extensive experience in annual giving programs, major gifts, planned giving, prospect research, grants, special events, board development, and strategic planning. She has directed or supervised campaigns and fundraising efforts that have raised over $200 million.
Since attaining her position with Graham-Pelton Consulting, Ms. Murphy has assisted many clients including: Saint Joseph’s Health Care System, Recording for the Blind & Dyslexic, Greater Baltimore Medical Center, Marquette General Foundation, Health Choice Network, CentraState Healthcare Foundation, Chester River Health Foundation, Cathedral Health System Foundation, and LifeBridge Health. Other organizations she has counseled since joining Graham-Pelton include The Connection for Women and Families, Link Community School, Count Basie Theatre and Holy Angels Academy.
Previously, Ms. Murphy was Vice President of Development for Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch, New Jersey, where she directed and grew the annual fundraising program by 400 percent. Her tenure there included a successful $15 million capital campaign and securing several of the largest major gifts in the hospital’s history. Also, as Regional Vice President of External Affairs and Campaign Director for Franciscan Sisters of the Poor Health System, Ms. Murphy assisted the five regional acute and long-term care institutions of the Health System in raising a Phase One goal of $25 million as part of a system-wide campaign to raise $100 million.
Earlier in her career, Ms. Murphy spent three years as a fundraising and public relations consultant, where she provided capital campaign counsel and directed capital campaigns that raised more than $145 million. The clients that benefited from Ms. Murphy’s counsel during that time include St. Elizabeth Hospital, Elizabeth, New Jersey; The Archdiocese Philadelphia; and the United Church of Christ.
Ms. Murphy received a bachelor’s degree from the College of the Holy Cross and is a Certified Fundraising Executive and a frequent presenter at fundraising conferences throughout the country.
